These six mid-century modern dining chairs were in desperate need of restoration, manufactured originally in the 1960’s they had only a basic plain fabric seat with no cushioning. The frames were scratched in places and in desperate need of a good clean, we were asked to resolve these issues which we did by applying a new layer of comfortable foam bmto the seat pad and then reupholstering with a lovely, new crushed-velvet fabric in a stunning teal blue colour. The scratches on the wooden frames were removed and the original varnish finish restored to its former glory.
The owner of the chairs, based in Battersea, London was absolutely delighted with the end result which added some dramatic colour to the refurbishment design scheme of his new kitchen extension at home. The design being inspired by a minimalist, 1960’s interior that he had seen in his home country, Germany.
